At Bracken Hill Border Collies our aim is to breed a sound and versatile Border Collie. Temperament is the main priority, as is the health of the animal for its entire life. We strive to raise confident, well-adjusted puppies.
In temperament, the Border Collie is highly intelligent, alert and responsive. It must be biddable, or receptive to training. To its friends, it is affectionate; to strangers, sensibly reserved. Its ability and eagerness to learn are legendary.
As well as being loving family pets they excel at obedience, agility and tracking, and make great sheepdogs. They are “people dogs” and so need to interact within the family.
Due to the Border Collie's high energy level, the breed may
not be suited for everyone. When choosing a breed make sure
the proper research is done to ensure the right fit for your
